Let me begin by saying I could hardly get through the Super Stretch App without my phone being snatched repeatedly from my hands. My boys heard Super Stretch’s voice and that was it. After the initial war over who got to hold the phone, a sort of zen like calm took over. Really. My 8 year old was enthralled. My 4 year old was copying each pose. And then the discussion of their favorite character began. It was sort of magical in the way that you see the little lightbulbs going off admist a bout of fun. So as a Mom, I have to say, I love this app. My kids were captivated and it wasn’t because anyone was getting bonked over the head or shot with a laser beam. As a clinical social worker I was impressed because the Super Stretch app offers a fun and simple way to engage children and teach them how to calm themselves. The breathing and stretching learned by following Super Stretch is invaluable because it’s a lifelong tool of self-regulation being introduced with fun images and clear explanations. I give this app 5 stars.
